European House Borer

The Europen House Borer (EHB) Program has been released by the Department of Agriculture and Food, to minimise the EHB threats on seasoned pine trees.

In September 2007, new movement restrictions on pine products were introduced in areas affected by the EHB.

Affected areas include the Shires of Mundaring, Kalamunda, City of Swan, Oakford, Oldbury, Serpentine, Gosnells, Southern River, Huntingdale, Baldivis, Karnup, Bateman, Bull Creek, Leeming, Murdoch, North Lake, Winthrop, Roleystone, Bertram, Wellard, Ashby, Banksia Grove, Carramar, Jandabup, Neerabup and Nowgerup. The pine plantations at Gnangara and Pinjar are also restricted movement zones.
