Recycled Products into Road Construction

The WA Local Government Association has received a Strategic Waste Initiative Scheme (SWIS) grant to undertake a project focusing on Recycled Products into Road Construction. 

This Project will produce:

1. A local government Policy Position which will identify the drivers and inhibitors (supply and demand) for Local Government to use recycled materials in roads, paths and other appropriate infrastructure; and 
2. an action plan to support the Policy's implementation.

WALGA has commissioned consultants ARRB to undertake the Project.

A workshop was held on Tuesday 2 December to commence the process.  Presentations were given on:

• Energy and Environmental Implications in Recycling of Demolition Materials: Jencie McRobert – RM Consultants
