Data Collection Schemes for Local Government

A Data Working Group comprising of representatives from WALGA, the Department of Environment and Conservation, Local Government and Regional Councils is working on the development of a replacement data collection scheme. It is likely that the data will be collected online, in a similar, but streamlined method to that used in the Zero Waste Plan Phase One process. It is expected that the Scheme will collect similar data to the AC/DC Scheme, but on a yearly basis. The first time period of the Scheme will be from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008.

Local Government is requested to continue collecting data for the new Scheme and more information will be distributed in the future.
