Plastic Consultation Session

The State Government has released an Issues Paper Let’s not draw the short straw reduce single-use plastics that outlines the impacts and potential solutions to single use plastics. The deadline to provide feedback on the Issues Paper is Friday, 12 July.

WALGA is hosting a Consultation Session where Local Government Officers and Elected Members can discuss the DWER Issues Paper and the WALGA Plastic Reduction Guideline.

This Consultation Session can be attended in person, or online.

The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) are holding 7 community workshops in Albany, Broome, Bunbury, Geraldton, Karratha, Kalgoorlie and Port Hedland. An additional 3 workshops will be held in the Perth metropolitan area: Cockburn, Joondalup and Perth.
