Policy work is a key function of the Municipal Waste Advisory Council (MWAC). On behalf of the Western Australian Local Government Association, MWAC constantly reviews the waste policies of government and industry as well as proactively developing its own waste policies. Policy StatementsMWAC produces Policy Statements on issues relating to waste management in areas of importance to Local Government. These Policy Statements are designed to assist Local Governments with their practices, to inform others about where we stand and to promote well founded views within government and industry. Submissions and Reports
MWAC also produces Submissions and Reports on a wide range of waste issues. Typically, these are developed in response to industry or government discussion papers or proposals.
